A closer look at how projects are scheduled
This page breaks down each phase of a typical project in more detail than the summary shown on our homepage, including what can cause a timeline to shift.
What to have ready for your walkthrough
A short amount of preparation before the on-site visit can make the estimate more accurate. It helps to have a general sense of which rooms are involved, whether trim or cabinets are part of the scope, and any color ideas already in mind, even loosely.
None of this is required. Estimators are used to working through undecided details on the spot, including sheen options and whether existing furniture needs to be moved.
Six phases, from inquiry to sign-off
The ranges below describe typical patterns based on how our crews generally schedule work. Your written estimate will include figures specific to your project.
